Usable range, not EPA range. Two haircuts stand between the window sticker and the miles you actually drive between stops. Sustained highway speed costs about 12% of EPA range at 70 mph (drag rises with the square of speed), and a road-trip leg runs from roughly 80% down to 10% rather than 100% to 0.
